Overview

The Controller is accountable for financial accuracy, compliance, controls, and reporting integrity across the organization. This role ensures that leadership decisions are grounded in reliable, consistent financial data and that the company meets all internal and external financial obligations. The Controller plays a critical role in maintaining strong financial discipline by managing close processes, strengthening controls, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Head of Finance and executive team, this role supports financial planning, performance tracking, and operational decision-making. The Controller is responsible for improving financial processes, reducing reliance on manual workarounds, and building scalable systems that support growth. Success in this role requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk management. Ultimately, the Controller serves as the foundation of financial integrity and trust within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports, ensuring consistency and integrity across all financial data
  • Maintain and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and financial governance standards
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
  • Lead audit preparation and external auditor relationships, ensuring readiness and efficiency

  • Validate cost allocation, payroll, and expense accuracy, maintaining high data quality and control discipline
  • Partner with Operations and Finance to support forecasting inputs and variance analysis
  • Strengthen financial processes, workflows, and documentation, reducing reliance on ad hoc tools and manual processes
  • Identify financial risks and control gaps, and implement mitigation strategies to protect the business
  • Provide accurate financial data and insights to support executive decision-making and planning cycles
  • Act as a financial steward, ensuring discipline and integrity without taking on operational ownership
