Job Description

COLSA is seeking a Control Systems Data Analyst to support our Army customer at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This role will support the management and analysis of Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control System (ICS) asset data across Army facilities, including building and maintaining accurate, validated asset inventories and developing reports, dashboards, and other decision-support products. The position requires strong data management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical information within OT/ICS environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review field-collected evidence, including photographs, field notes, equipment labels, controller displays, screenshots, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Extract and validate technical asset data, including manufacturer, model/serial number, firmware/OS, connectivity, location, and system relationships.
  • Build and maintain accurate OT baseline inventory records and ensure traceability between inventory entries and supporting evidence.
  • Apply approved naming conventions and identifiers, validate completeness, and standardize data fields.
  • Analyze technical datasets and perform data quality assurance to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and reconcile data discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Design and support relational data structures, data dictionaries, validation rules, and reporting queries.
  • Automate data processes and inventory workflows using Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA.
  • Build dashboards, queries, standard reports, visualizations, and decision-support products.
  • Coordinate with field personnel, engineers, cybersecurity staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Follow all applicable data security, handling, and mission requirements.

Required Experience

  • One of the following combinations of education and relevant experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Associate's degree in a related field and 9+ years of relevant experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent and 13+ years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship and an Active Secret security clearance are required.
  • Experience with data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, quality assurance, and large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting, error checking, and structured data validation.
  • Experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, queries, and data visualizations.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and manage multiple inventory packages.
  • Experience supporting OT, ICS, FRCS, infrastructure assessments, or related technical environments.
  • Working knowledge of OT/ICS control environments, including SCADA, Building Automation Systems (BAS), or similar systems.
  • Ability to analyze system dependencies, infrastructure relationships, operational impacts, and technical risks.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% in support of customer site visits and assessment activities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC).
  • Experience conducting site assessments, system inventories, validation audits, or similar technical evaluations.
  • Experience with OT/ICS asset discovery, inventory, or data management activities.
  • Experience analyzing or documenting OT/ICS architectures, components, dependencies, or infrastructure relationships.
  • Familiarity with a range of OT/ICS technologies and environments, including SCADA, Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or similar control systems.
