JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Control Management Associate in Wholesale Lending Services, you will play a critical role in preventing, detecting, and monitoring operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. You’ll collaborate with business executives to design and implement control strategies that ensure secure and efficient operations. Your contributions will directly impact the firm’s success and help maintain our reputation for excellence. Finance & Business Management (F&BM) partners with you to drive transformation and continuous improvement across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Foster a proactive risk and control culture by identifying process gaps and challenging the status quo.
  • Provide operational risk guidance and analysis for new business, products, and initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Oversee governance of business operational risks, escalating issues to line of business and Firmwide committees.
  • Support business partners in conducting value chain analysis of key processes and heightened risks.
  • Engage with control colleagues across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology functions.
  • Demonstrate strong influencing skills to develop partnerships across businesses.
  • Synthesize large amounts of data to formulate appropriate conclusions and actionable results.
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Analyze metrics for emerging risk and develop timely, sustainable solutions.
  • Understand root causes and identify control breaks.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business-related function.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence business leaders.
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
