About This Role

We're looking for a strategic procurement professional to lead sourcing and supplier management for road, rail, and intermodal transportation across the Americas. In this role, you'll develop category strategies, negotiate transportation contracts, and build strong carrier partnerships that deliver reliable service, cost efficiencies, and long-term value.

You'll collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure transportation solutions align with business needs. Success in this role comes from balancing strategic thinking with execution-leveraging market insights, managing supplier performance, and driving continuous improvement across the logistics network.

What You Will Work On

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for road, rail, and intermodal transportation across the Americas, ensuring cost-effective, reliable logistics solutions.

Lead competitive sourcing events, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage carrier relationships to drive value, service quality, and total cost optimization.

Monitor transportation rates, market trends, and supplier performance, ensuring contracts, pricing, and KPIs align with evolving business needs.

Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Legal, EHSS, HR, and Sustainability teams to support business objectives through strategic procurement initiatives.

What You Will Bring

At least 7 years of hands-on experience managing rail transportation procurement across the Americas, including strategic sourcing, freight and railcar contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and logistics category management.10+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain, with a strong focus on land, rail, and intermodal transportation, transportation infrastructure, and distribution services.Master's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. A bachelor's degree combined with significant relevant experience and professional training will also be considered.
