Full Job Description
PURVIS is seeking a Federal Contracts Manager who will be responsible for managing and administering contracts supporting federal government customers, including Department of Defense (DoD), GSA, and other federal agencies. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations and contractual requirements from proposal support through contract closeout. The position requires strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and experience supporting prime and subcontract relationships.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer federal prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and contract modifications from award through closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with federal customers, contracting officers, subcontractors, and internal staff.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific supplements.
  • Support proposal development by reviewing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), identifying contractual risks, reviewing flowdown requirements, and preparing required representations and certifications.
  • Administer subcontract agreements, including development of subcontract templates, negotiation support, and compliance monitoring.
  • Advise project managers and leadership on contractual requirements, risks, funding limitations, and compliance obligations.
  • Support compliance with federal subcontracting requirements, including small business participation and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain contract documentation including modifications, funding actions, deliverables, and correspondence.
  • Support interactions with external federal entities such as DCMA, DCAA, and contracting offices, as applicable.
  • Track contract funding levels and ensure compliance with funding limitations and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic contract files consistent with federal record retention requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance compliance, efficiency, and consistency in contract administration.
