Job Title: Contracts Manager

The Role:
This role is critical for ensuring rigorous contract review practices and legal compliance within a regulated, fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of overseeing contract review activities that support the organization’s business, clinical trial, and operational objectives. The candidate should be adaptable, ready to take on tasks with minimal oversight, and able to work efficiently while continuously learning and growing. Responsibilities:
- Lead and Own Contract Review: Drive the review, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts across business, clinical trials, supply chain, manufacturing, and vendor relationships.
- Risk Identification: Identify risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement within contracts and proactively address potential legal or business concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with relevant regulations, internal policies, and industry-specific guidelines (including GMP/GLP/GCP where applicable).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Legal, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to facilitate contract approvals and alignment.
- Document Management: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of reviewed contracts, amendments, and related correspondence in line with data integrity and confidentiality standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest enhancements to contract review workflows, tools, and standard operating procedures (SOPs); develop and update templates for contractual documents.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate contract status, risks, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders and leadership.
- Training & Guidance: Coach colleagues on contract review best practices, legal terminology, and critical compliance requirements.
- Vendor & Partner Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for external counterparties during contract negotiations, clarifications, and resolution of contractual issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in contract review/management within a biotech, pharmaceutical, or radiopharmaceutical organization.
- In-depth familiarity with relevant legal frameworks, industry regulations, and contract types (including CDAs, CTAs, MSAs, supply agreements, and collaboration contracts).
- Strong awareness of GMP/GCP/GLP guidelines as they pertain to contractual obligations and operational practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and clear documentation of contract terms and deviations.
- Proficiency in contract management tools or platforms (such as SAP, DocuSign, or similar).
- Advanced skills in document analysis, Excel, and data review.
- Ability to learn, adapt to changing requirements, and take initiative in resolving challenges.
- High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
Annual base salary for this position ranges from 133,311.20 to 174,970.95.
