Overview

SPA's Strategic Division's Regional Strike System Group (RSSG) supports critical U.S. government programs providing Systems Engineering, Systems Safety, Modelling, Master Scheduling, and Financial Analysis support. RSSG is immediately hiring for a Contract Specialist at SPA's Maritime Plaza Office in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and coordination of acquisition documentation (e.g., Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, Justifications and Approvals, Determinations and Findings).
  • Support the drafting, review, and submission of procurement packages and contract modifications.
  • Track contract actions and provide status updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate with technical leads, financial analysts, and program managers to ensure alignment across functional areas.
  • Interface with contracting officers and other government stakeholders to facilitate timely and accurate contract execution.
  • Contribute to program meetings and briefings by providing acquisition updates and recommendations.
  • Support compliance with relevant DoD acquisition regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and Navy-specific policies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to work full-time at Maritime Plaza in Washington D.C.
  • U.S. Citizen with DoD Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or another equivalent field.
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition lifecycle and related documentation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Government Finance and Acquisitions.
  • Experience with Navy or DoD acquisition systems (e.g., Navy ERP, ETMS2, PIEE, SPS/PD2) strongly preferred.

Desired Qualifications:
  • DAWIA contracting (professional) certification.
  • CFCM/CCCM/CPCM certification.
  • Experience supporting Navy SSP, other Navy program offices, or DoD acquisition program.
