POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, WA, or Layton, UT.

The Contracts Administrator III is responsible for administering moderately complex contracts, supporting proposal development, leading negotiations, managing customer interactions, and ensuring compliance with commercial and government contracting requirements. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic setting, manages shifting priorities effectively, and consistently maintains confidentiality while handling sensitive internal and external information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administers a portfolio of moderately complex contracts, including cost-type (CPFF, CPAF) agreements.
  • Reviews, negotiates, and executes contracts, agreements, terms & conditions, and customer requirements.
  • Leads negotiation of contract terms and modifications within delegated authority.
  • Serves as the primary contractual interface for assigned customers; resolves contractual issues directly.
  • Ensures proposal compliance and alignment between customer requirements and Janicki's submissions.
  • Tracks awarded projects to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and payment terms.
  • Reviews incoming RFQs/RFPs to identify submission requirements, deviations, and risks.
  • Reviews and redlines contractual documents, coordinating approvals with management.
  • Evaluates contractual risk areas; recommends and implements mitigation strategies.
  • Prepares and manages written communications with internal and external customers.
  • Develops and updates contract status reports, management summaries, and documentation.
  • Supports updates to standardized contract language and templates.
  • Ensures timely submission of contractual deliverables, invoices, and other obligations.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Janicki business systems, procedures, and workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience is required
  • 4+ years of experience in contracts administration, proposal/compliance, or business management within a manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace environment
  • Knowledge of multiple contract types including Firmed Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee or Cost-Plus Award Fee
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS requirements
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Exposure to quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) as they relate to document control and records
  • Experience redlining and coordinating approvals with Management
  • Prior ownership of proposal compliance checklists and submission portals
  • Experience building dashboards/trackers in Excel, Power BI, or other tracking tools for deadlines and deliverables
  • Advanced proficiency in software programs, including Microsoft Office, SAP, SQL reporting, and other relevant business tools
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with experience presenting to executives, managing customer relations, and negotiating contracts


Detailed Wage Information

Wage range for this role is between $94K - $120K, plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
