Contract Manager Posting Start Date: 9/8/26 Job Location (Short): Peoria, Illinois, USA, 61639 Requisition ID: 36913 Onsite or Remote: Onsite Position Job Overview The Contract Manager for the Surface Haulage Business Unit (SHBU) is responsible for managing all aspects of aftermarket contracts, ensuring effective risk mitigation and enhancing customer confidence in Komatsu equipment. This position plays a critical role in coordinating with internal divisions, legal teams, and external stakeholders to support the execution and finalization of contracts, contributing to the overall success and compliance of the SHBU. Key Job Responsibilities • Consolidate, manage, and maintain a diverse portfolio of contracts, including those with customers, suppliers, and distributors relevant to the SHBU. • Collaborate with internal divisions, related companies, distributors, and legal teams to support the execution and finalization of contracts. • Work closely with the relevant Komatsu legal entity to ensure all agreements are reviewed and sanctioned by legal counsel prior to execution. • Act as the central point of coordination across the SHBU on new and renewing contracts for global, major, and strategic account customers. • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with contractual obligations, enhancing customer confidence in Komatsu equipment and services. • Identify and engage key stakeholders, holding them accountable for decision-making required to execute agreements. • Coordinate and chair internal and external engagements, ensuring appropriate stakeholders are represented and involved in the decision-making process. • Negotiate outcomes, where required, in line with approved positions from stakeholders. • Establish and maintain version management of contracts, ensuring all modifications and updates are accurately documented and communicated. • Provide insightful data-driven recommendations to executive management to inform decisions on contract risk and strategic direction. • Analyze contract performance and market trends to support the Surface Haulage Product & Sales Team in making decisions that align with business goals. • Enhance overall brand recognition and market share by ensuring high standards in contract management and customer satisfaction. • Support the Surface Haulage Product & Sales Team with actionable insights and recommendations, driving improved business outcomes and competitive advantage. Qualifications/Requirements Required Skills • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent. • Minimum of 3-5 years of Commercial or Sales experience in a related industry (Mining, Construction, Contracts, Distribution, etc.) • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated success in being able to collaborate with distributors and internal departments to achieve desired results. • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with excellent business acumen. • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to effectively lead meetings. • Capable of analyzing business risk (financial and legal) and consequences of non-compliance. Preferred Skills • Operational knowledge of Salesforce is preferred. • Knowledge of Komatsu products and the Mining/Construction industry. • Advanced Excel skills to generate reports and update dashboards. • Experience with Power BI is a plus. Additional Information Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 1-10 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Hiring Range At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $123,700 - $152,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
