Contract Management Specialist

Location: San Jose, CA (100% Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts Specialist with deep expertise in contract evaluation, pricing strategy, negotiation, and financial analysis. This role is a key contributor to a strategic initiative focused on achieving 10% cost savings in Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). The ideal candidate will analyze and optimize contracts across consulting, audits, software, labor, and other operational ("run the business") categories. Managing and improving upon a $130M annual COGS budget, the specialist will ensure the organization maximizes value and maintains strong fiscal discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and analyze existing vendor contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimization paths.
  • Lead contract negotiations to improve pricing, terms, SLAs, and overall contract value.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market comparisons to ensure competitive pricing and contract terms.
  • Partner closely with the Finance team to align contract spending with budgetary goals and forecasts.
  • Support development of dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and analytics to track contract performance and spend.
  • Contribute to OPEX transparency initiatives, ensuring clear visibility into expenditures and cost drivers.
