This position is located onsite in any of the following: Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia.

Job Overview

The Contract Director (CD) is the senior manager responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful performance of all contractor work outlined in the Statement of Work. The CD is the primary liaison between the Contractor and the Government, holding full authority to act on behalf of the Contractor. They manage contract execution, personnel, workload coordination, quality control, and ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:
  • Direct and review the work of all contractor personnel daily to ensure compliance with contract standards and operating procedures.
  • Oversee all general support services required under the contract.
  • Recommend guideline and procedural improvements to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • Provide on-the-job training and develop instructional materials to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead data collection for productivity reports and conduct internal surveys.
  • Resolve operational issues, working-level complaints, and respond to service complaints within established timeframes.
  • Ensure routine equipment maintenance and implement system updates as needed to support workload or organizational changes.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and request replenishment of government-provided expendable supplies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures; initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Review and update task orders semiannually to reflect changes in processes or operating procedures.
  • Designate a qualified acting CD when unavailable or when work is performed outside normal hours.

Job Requirements

Mandatory
  • Minimum five years of supervisory experience in time-sensitive, service-oriented functions.
    • Of those five years, at least three years must involve successful management of service activities comparable in scope and complexity to this contract.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of:
    • General administrative/support services
    • Business administration
    • Human resources management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or under general senior management direction across all contract performance phases.
  • Authority to act fully on behalf of the Contractor for all required work and services.
