Job Description:Technician - Industrial EngineeringNear Pet Nutrition Factory
We're looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead who will serve as a key cog in our Focused Improvement (FI) pillar team, actively driving our attack on Non-Quality Costs (NQC). In this role, you will have a sharp focus on driving waste reduction, proactively hunting for process gaps within SAP, and partnering with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve systemic issues that impact our operational efficiency and financial bottom line.
What are we looking for? Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, or a related technical/business discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2-4+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations, or continuous improvement environments.
- Demonstrated foundational knowledge and application of Lean/CI tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC).
- Working knowledge of SAP (or similar enterprise ERP system) with experience navigating inventory, material movements, production orders, and transactional data.
- Proven ability to analyze operational and financial data-such as variance analysis, production waste logs, yield losses, or cost estimates-to drive corrective action.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to partner effectively across functions, particularly with Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams.
Preferred:
- Direct experience operating within a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework, specifically contributing to or leading Focused Improvement (FI) pillar activities and loss tree analysis.
- Experience targeting and systematically reducing Non-Quality Costs (NQC), material scrap, and rework in high-volume manufacturing (e.g., CPG, Food & Beverage, or Pharmaceuticals).
- Advanced SAP troubleshooting/auditing capabilities and experience with BI/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel/VBA).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) or professional IE/TPM certifications.
- Track record of independently leading cross-functional cost-reduction (Cost Out / Value Capture) projects from concept through financial sign-off.
- Proven track record of developing and facilitating training initiatives aimed at attacking and eliminating Non-Quality Costs (NQC) across a broader manufacturing or Petcare network.
What will be your key responsibilities? - Serve as an active member of the Focused Improvement (FI) pillar team, aligning waste-reduction activities with broader site goals to systematically eliminate Non-Quality Costs (NQC).
- Proactively audit and "hunt" within SAP processes to identify transactional gaps, material flow discrepancies, and system issues that lead to operational waste.
- Partner closely with Finance Business Partners and site Industrial Engineers (IEs) to analyze waste transactions, investigate variance issues, and develop corrective action plans.
- Plan and establish sequences of operations, methods, and process steps to eliminate waste, improve material flow, and promote efficient resource utilization.
- Review production schedules, waste logs, and financial reports to estimate production costs, evaluate cost-saving methods, and measure the impact of waste reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate and implement quality and efficiency control procedures to resolve production problems, minimize operational costs, and maximize process reliability.
- Create draft layouts of equipment, materials, and workspaces to illustrate maximum efficiency and minimize physical waste using drafting and visualization tools.
