Full Job Description
Help shape how specialized insurance solutions reach the market.

Nationwide is looking for a Marketing Consultant to help grow our Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) Wholesale business. In this role, you'll turn business priorities, market insights, and customer needs into marketing strategies that help wholesale agents and brokers understand the value of Nationwide's specialized solutions.

You'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution-developing positioning and messaging, shaping integrated marketing plans, and partnering with experts across product, underwriting, distribution, creative, digital, media, communications, and marketing operations. Your work will help strengthen partner engagement, build awareness, and support business growth in a dynamic and specialized market.

This opportunity is a strong fit for a marketer who enjoys connecting the big picture to the details that bring it to life, is comfortable working with senior stakeholders, and wants to see their ideas move from insight to activation.

What you'll do
• Develop product marketing strategies and messaging that increase awareness, consideration, and adoption of E&S Wholesale solutions among agents and brokers.
• Translate market research, customer and partner insights, product information, underwriting appetite, and competitive intelligence into clear, audience-focused stories.
• Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify priorities, define desired outcomes, and recommend marketing investments.
• Create project briefs and guide work with creative, content, digital, media, public relations, and channel partners.
• Support integrated campaigns across email, web, paid media, social, public relations, print, events, and other relevant channels.
• Build thought leadership and partner-facing content that demonstrates Nationwide's expertise and differentiated value.
• Use performance data and market feedback to optimize campaigns, improve the partner experience, and inform future plans.
• Identify process, technology, and capability improvements that make marketing more effective and easier for partners to engage with.
• Build trusted relationships across marketing, product, underwriting, distribution, and business leadership.
• Stay current on E&S market dynamics, competitive trends, product priorities, and the evolving needs of wholesale partners.

What you'll bring
• Experience developing and activating integrated marketing or product marketing strategies.
• Strong ability to turn complex products, market insights, and business goals into clear positioning and compelling messaging.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external or internal creative, media, digital, content, or communications partners.
• Comfort using performance data and customer insights to make decisions and improve outcomes.
• Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Insurance, financial services, B2B, partner marketing, or experience marketing to distribution channels is helpful-but not the only path to success.

Why this role
• Make visible contributions to the growth of a specialized business with an important role in the insurance marketplace.
• Work across the full marketing mix, from strategy and positioning to campaigns, events, digital, media, public relations, and measurement.
• Partner with leaders and subject-matter experts across marketing, underwriting, product, and distribution.
• Build deeper expertise in B2B, partner, and product marketing while working in a collaborative environment.

This hybrid position may be based Columbus, OH or Scottsdale, AZ. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 2 days per week. Current Nationwide Remote Associates may also be considered.
