Full Job Description
Job Purpose: This position consults with various areas throughout the company on privacy compliance. The position assists business areas and project teams with developing controls for how to use personal information appropriately and in compliance with complex privacy legal requirements. This position is responsible for delivering high quality compliance services to clients. Services include research, analysis, maintenance and training/education on compliance topics to meet our business objectives and contribute to our privacy program. This role is also responsible for collaborating, educating and advising our business partners on risk identification and mitigation strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Proactively assess and monitor programs, processes and initiatives as they relate to ethics/compliance. Actively identify risks, opportunities and solutions to the business, products, work and associates.
  • Perform complex compliance reviews, enterprise assessments and policy/procedure reviews to ensure clarity, applicability and compliance with applicable law.
  • Provide technical analysis of existing and pending legislative activities.
  • Review service products, marketing materials and business processes for compliance.
  • Provides strategic direction in the preparation of regulatory filings and/or forms to meet business needs and comply with the substance and language requirements of regulatory authorities in all states.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products, processes and/or services.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions and/or new tools and approaches change with flexibility.
  • Works independently with proactive leadership and decisioning; receives minimal guidance.
  • Develop and implement training/education programs.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, risk management, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent combination of related professional work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance, business or government regulations/compliance or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in privacy compliance and proper data use.
  • Ability to research, interpret and analyze complex laws, regulations and industry requirements, and translate them into practical business solutions. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and independently apply complex regulatory and business requirements across diverse initiatives.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to connect information across stakeholder groups, identify risks and recognize broader business implications and compliance considerations.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong business consultation, collaboration and influencing skills, including the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex, technical and sensitive topics to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction, exercise sound judgment, establish priorities and drive work to completion.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Preferred: 
    • Certification(s) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), e.g. CIPP, CIPM and/or CIPT.

Base Salary Range:

$91,400.00 - $137,100.00
