What You'll Be Doing

You'll be joining CIBC's Finance Technology team in Enterprise Technology. As the a Consultant, Data Developer, you'll be at the heart of CIBC's Finance Modernization initiative providing expertise in transforming CIBC's current Financial Processing Reporting, and Analytics landscape. As a Consultant, Data Developer you'll lead in solutioning, developing, testing and supporting the implementation of these cross-functional, multi-platform, multi-vendor SAAS/PAAS application systems involving Microsoft Azure , Databricks, Python, Azure Data Factory and DevOps (Github).

How You'll Succeed
  • Programming Skills: Oversee and Develop coding and test computer programs for straightforward assignments. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
  • Product Ownership: Act as a product owner by embracing ownership of all aspects of the applications, its delivery, subject matter expertise, roadmaps etc
  • Systems Implementation: Lead in the technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • Planning and Coordination: Effectively interact with internal and external Finance stakeholders, end users, business analysts, technical resources, vendors, governing bodies and regulators to gather requirements and prepare design specifications.


Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience in: developing, testing, and implementing budgeting, forecasting and reporting solutions for a Corporate Finance organization using Microsoft Azure Products, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, Spark, SQLMI and Azure Fabric implementations. Hands-on experience building and orchestrating metadata-driven data pipelines, Bronze/Silver/Gold data lake patterns, and DevOps-based CI/CD deployment is core to this role. Exposure to SAP Financial eco-systems (SAP S4/HANA) is a major asset.
  • It's an asset if you have experience with: Oracle RDBMS, ETL tools, OBIEE, Tableau, Alteryx, Java EE applications, workload automation / job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys), Jira, Confluence, and/or other build & deploy tools, along with experience on Windows and Unix platforms.
