What you'll be doing
The Marketing Data Strategy & Governance team is a strategic Data Product delivery team within CIBC Personal and Business Banking, applying rigor in Data Engineering & Analytics with strong sense of business partnership, to drive impact for our clients and business outcomes. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Data Strategy, the Consultant, Analytics Data Engineer will lead the design, execution and maintenance of Client-Centric Data Products that support CIBC’s Marketing and Data modernization programs. As a motivated self-starter, your curiosity in data, deep understanding of the business priorities, pared with expertise in cloud-native data engineering principles, you will be an integral part in delivering innovative data solutions and data assets that bring business value. You will practice effective development with Agile methodology, DevOps, CI/CD and governance built-in to the delivery on Databricks Analytics Platform. You are able to collaborate closely with data product owners, Data Scientists, PBB Analytics, and various technology and program partners.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
3 Analytics savvy - Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of analytics, business case and visual analytic tools that leverage industry best practices. Recommend improvements to overall analytical approach for the team through interaction with internal stakeholders and through industry research.
3 You bring a unique data career 6 Experienced in the field of Client Analytics, Data Engineering, Statistical analysis, data modeling, ETL and Data Flow design, or Data Sciences, combining expertise from multiple domains to understand how best to solve business problems with data.

Who you are
3 You practice industry best-practice in Data Engineering & Analytics. At leasta0 2-3 yearse280 9 experience in developing enterprise-grade Data Products and data pipelines, leveraging distributed Analytics Platforms such as Databricks, PySpark, Spark Dataframe API, Scala, Azure Data Factory, practicing CI/CD and DevOps in Agile setting. Experience in Databricks AI/BI, PowerBI would be a bonus.
