Constructive Simulation Training Lead Full-time
Fort Leavenworth, KS Position Summary This is a Constructive Simulation Training Lead position at the Regional Simulation Center, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.
What You'll Do - Plans, coordinates, and executes individual MCIS and Simulation (puckster) training at echelons ranging from Squad to Corps
- Perform classroom setup, networking of systems and supporting simulations, and instruction on applicable simulations and/or mission command information systems. Executes training on the system IAW Army standard Programs of Instruction (POI) following approved course instructional times
- Provides individual MCIS training to standard and on time, with 90% of the students successfully completing the course of instruction and receiving system certification
- Follows doctrine outlined in the TC 6-0 series, 'Training the Mission Command Warfighting Function• .
- Teach, and coach during exercise/event execution, simulation functionality and operations to training unit personnel who will be operating simulation workstations during training exercises/events.
- On occasion, operate simulation systems or MCIS for the unit during execution of the training event
- Ensures all exercise databases are complete, accurate, functional and built on time
- This position required travel not to exceed 50%
Requirements and Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (associated discipline) preferred
- Graduate of CGSC or ILE (MEL 4), Senior NCOES or equivalent, Senior Service College or equivalent / 10 yrs. related experience in instructional development / 3 yrs. experience on a U.S. Military staff (Battalion or higher)
- At least 3 to 5 yrs. experience managing M&S team in support of training including systems JLCCTC, WARSIM, Command-and-Control Weapon System Part Task Trainer (C2WSPTT), and other systems as required
- Experience with scenario development and performing analytical assessments of systems; knowledge, understanding, and using the JELC process
- Experience providing operator and functional training
- Knowledge and understanding of configuring, maintaining, and providing senior control oversight for C2WSPTT
- Possess a SECRET Security Clearance
- Be a US Citizen
