Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Audubon is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our team in our South Houston, TX Office. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for site construction and installation requirements across all product lines. This candidate must have experience in instructing contractors on best practices, schedule, pricing, freighting, and field welding requirements for the installation of supplied equipment. Also, the ideal candidate must be able to work internally with engineering team to ensure models, P&ID's, ISOs, and other assorted drawing packs are updated and reflective of the current revision numbers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop new relationships with general contractors & field client base.
  • Provide oversight of civil, general construction, and installation of equipment and/or processes.
  • Provide job-site stewardship to all parties, regardless of classification.
  • Routinely investigate schedule slippage & counter with viable data points to recover the schedule.
  • Incorporate new business strategies for a more effective job-site presence.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction applications and/or mechanical engineering id preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years' experience with international/domestic oil & gas construction and installation of process equipment.
  • Certifications:
    • Welding certifications, Boiler Manufacturing Certifications, ASME Certifications, PMD accreditations.
  • 20 years minimum, working with domestic and/or international oil/gas company contractors.
  • Must be able lead by example and stand firm on business related decisions.
  • Must have established a sound business reputation within current management peers.
  • Ability to read and interpret IFC, 3-D models, ISO's, P&ID & PFD drawings & formulate conclusions into a clear/concise document, that transcends down through the discipline ranks.
  • Must be able to interpret client's expectations and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with client field engineers & construction personnel.
  • Self-starter, ability to lead with little to no supervision.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to carry 30 lbs of gear/tools for extended periods.
  • Ability to think on the move, make calculated decisions, and stand behind those decisions.
  • Ability to lead by example.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may periodically be required to travel to client jobsites, usually involving heavy industrial production facilities and accessing all areas of the facility. Therefore, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and the risk of electric shock. The noise level in workplace can be loud to moderate depending on assignment.
