Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects in the Saint Mary's, Georgia area for ongoing work at Kings Bay Naval Base. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with experience in
commercial construction, federal projects, NAVFAC, USACE, DoD construction, EM 385-1-1 compliance, and OSHA regulations.
Position SummaryThe SSHO serves as the onsite safety leader and is responsible for implementing and enforcing project safety programs in accordance with:
- EM 385-1-1
- OSHA standards
- Accident Prevention Plans (APP)
- Contract requirements
- RQC Safety Management System
This role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain a safe, compliant, and productive jobsite.
This is a full-time, onsite position. Travel or relocation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates outside the area.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $90,000 - $125,000 annually (DOE)

Qualifications- 5+ years of commercial construction experience
- 5+ years of construction safety experience at the jobsite level
- Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or federal construction projects preferred
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations
- Competent Person training and/or experience in fall protection, excavation/trenching, confined spaces, electrical safety, scaffolding, and PPE
- Documented safety training averaging 24 hours annually over the past 5 years
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with RMS, QCS, or Viewpoint preferred
Required Certifications- OSHA 30-Hour (within the last 5 years)
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
