Construction Site Project Manager - Bodyshop forleading and coordinating bodyshop-related construction activities at the production site in the automotive industry. The role is a direct- hire position based in Blythewood, SC, and requires onsite presence. PURPOSE:
This role serves as the central point of contact between plant construction, system integrators, contractors, suppliers, safety teams, and planning leadership. The position ensures projects are delivered on time, in compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and regulatory requirements, while managing daily on-site operations and risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between plant construction, system integrators, contractors, safety teams, and Bodyshop Planning.
  • Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for bodyshop-related construction activities.
  • Conduct daily on-site meetings to review project status, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and integrators to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, and potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with national, South Carolina state, and company-specific safety regulations.
  • Track and report safety-related key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.
  • Oversee logistics, including shipment schedules, space requirements, waste handling, and traffic management on-site.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to contractors and integrators to maintain effective collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of experience in construction or industrial project management.
  • Proven experience managing suppliers, contractors, and system integrators.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in construction environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex project environment.
  • Solid understanding of construction site operations and scheduling.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or bodyshop construction projects.
  • Familiarity with KPI-based safety management systems.
  • Experience working in large-scale industrial construction projects.
  • German language skills are preferred; German-speaking candidates are highly desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
  • Location: in Blythewood / Columbia, SC, USA
  • Schedule: Full Time/, 40 hours per week
  • Overtime: overtime included as part of the role
