Full Job Description
Position: Construction Safety Manager
Reports to: Head of Safety
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Pay Range: $45 - $57 per hour (Eligible for overtime)

Superior is looking for a Construction Safety Manager to ensure that every team member on our jobsites is safe and secure. The Construction Safety Manager will maintain safe conditions for people and property, investigate and prevent accidents, analyze risks, and handle emergency response. This role is based on a jobsite in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of safety professionals on our jobsite, finding ways to help each grow and succeed
  • Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the general contractor and other trade partners
  • Conduct various jobsite trainings for team members, and ensure that all training records are logged and maintained
  • Investigate and document all injuries, incidents, and near misses; identify the root cause(s); and implement corrective actions
  • Evaluate and ensure proper procedures for crane lifts, excavations, electrical, and other high-risk activities
  • Maintain daily reports describing activities completed, critical conversations, issues, and other relevant items

Your Expertise
  • Required: You have at least 5 years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industry
  • Required: You have a First Aid/CPR certification
  • Required: You have completed the OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards course for the Construction Industry
  • Required: You have completed an OSHA 30-hour construction training course
  • Required: You have your CHST certification or are willing/eligible to sit for it
  • Bonus Points: You are an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
  • Bonus Points: You have experience in electrical construction
