About the Role- Job Title:Construction Safety Manager
- Location: Quincy, WA
Key Responsibilities- Safety Leadership
- Lead all project safety, health, and environmental initiatives.
- Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for the construction project.
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans.
- Promote a strong safety culture and accountability throughout the project.
- Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain required permits and safety documentation.
- Risk Assessment and Hazard Control
- Identify workplace hazards and evaluate risks.
- Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Implement controls for high-risk activities such as fall protection, confined space entry, lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, crane and rigging operations, and excavation and trenching.
Minimum Qualifications- Certification Requirements
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Professional Certifications
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
- SMS (Safety Management Specialist)
- CSHO (Certified Safety and Health Official)
- CSM or CSMC (Certified Safety Manager / Certified Safety Manager Construction)
Desired Qualifications- Specialized Certifications
- Fall Protection Competent Person
- Excavation Competent Person
- Confined Space Entry
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety
- Crane and Rigging Safety
- Incident Investigation
- Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
- 5-10 years of construction safety experience.
- 3-5 years in a supervisory or safety leadership role.
- Experience managing large capital construction projects, multiple subcontractors, and high-risk construction activities.
LocationSalary and Other Compensation:The annual salary for this position is between $160,000 - $180,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
