Overview

 

M&J is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Construction Quality Manager to join our Rockville, MD team. This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all construction work, materials, and workmanship comply with contract specifications, approved plans, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and project excellence.

 

Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of construction materials, products, and workmanship to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and testing programs.
  • Review construction plans and specifications to identify potential issues or violations.
  • Perform field inspections and coordinate laboratory testing of materials.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, field notes, and daily reports.
  • Prepare reports documenting contractor activities, labor, equipment, quantities, and inspection findings.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers, supervisors, and inspectors regarding project progress and quality compliance.
  • Recommend approval of completed work that meets contract plans and specifications.
  • Issue violation notices and stop-work orders when necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Attend project meetings and provide quality-related updates and recommendations.
  • Ensure construction activities are performed safely and in accordance with approved plans and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
