A well-established specialty construction contractor is hiring a Construction Project Manager to deliver complex geotechnical and heavy civil projects. The work spans deep foundations, shoring, earth retention, ground improvement, grouting, drilling, and dewatering, often on sites where the ground conditions and access make every decision matter.

This role is built for a PM who takes full ownership of project delivery and financial performance. You will manage the job from estimate to closeout and be the person superintendents, clients, and engineers count on to keep it safe, profitable, and on schedule.
Your Responsibilities
  • Manage projects through estimating, preconstruction, execution, and closeout
  • Prepare and review estimates, proposals, scopes, and bid packages
  • Develop and control budgets, schedules, forecasts, and project financials
  • Work with superintendents and field teams to drive safe, efficient execution
  • Hold subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to scope, schedule, quality, and cost
  • Anticipate risk and respond to changing site conditions, design issues, and operational constraints
  • Manage change orders, subcontractor costs, and material expenditures
  • Coordinate with engineers and internal teams on design-build projects
  • Review work against contracts, drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead internal meetings and client-facing project discussions
  • Champion jobsite safety and identify operational efficiencies
Required Experience
  • 5 to 10+ years in construction
  • Several years as a Project Manager or similar role in heavy civil, specialty, or geotechnical construction
  • Direct experience with deep foundations, earth retention, drilling, shoring, or ground improvement
  • Strong knowledge of estimating, cost control, forecasting, and project financials
  • Proven ability to run multiple projects at once
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (equivalent industry experience considered)
Preferred Experience
  • Design-build work involving shoring, foundations, or specialty geotechnical construction
  • Union labor and skilled craft team experience
  • Public and private sector project experience
  • Urban, tight-access, or technically demanding jobsites
Compensation and Benefits
  • $100,000 to $140,000 base salary, based on experience
  • 401(k) with employer match and profit-sharing opportunities
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Continuing education and professional development support
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, depending on position
