Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Hypertec is looking for a Project Manager to join our Construction team in Montreal, Quebec. If you are motivated, collaborative, and aligned with our values, we would love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Contributing:

  • Lead the planning, coordination and execution of infrastructure and other projects.
  • Collect project requirements and define scope in collaboration with infrastructure, engineering and management teams and in a matrix project environment.
  • Develop, track, control and manage project budget, cost and schedule.
  • Allocate and coordinate external and/or internal resources required for project execution.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks or scheduling conflicts.
  • Supervise and support on-site contractors.
  • Ensure that construction activities do not affect critical infrastructure operations.
  • Measure and report project performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Track and organize information data and communications efficiently to ensure project issues are dealt with promptly and properly.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct surveys during and after project (post mortem) and communicate areas of improvement with all stakeholders.
  • Follow-up with management to inform of progress of improvements


What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a project manager with demonstrated project leadership
  • Overall general knowledge of electrical and mechanical infrastructure is an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project;
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills;
  • An ability to track and organize information, data and communications efficiently to ensure project issues are dealt with promptly and properly;
  • Ability to travel to customer's job sites within Canada and the U.S.A;
  • PMP certification is an asset;
  • ASP Construction (Health & Safety in Construction Site) certification is an asset.
  • An essential component of this position is regular and consistent business travel, mainly to the United States. It is a requirement of this position that the candidate satisfy the applicable criteria set by the US Immigration and Nationality Act for business travel to the United States, which criteria include, for example, the ability to demonstrate that they are a citizen or national of a country that is eligible for the Visa Waiver Program or are otherwise visa exempt.
