Full Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Construction Project Manager, the Construction Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of store development within Arc'teryx. You will play a crucial role in ensuring your assigned projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will develop and manage key deliverables for mainline construction projects within the real estate portfolio - from site selection to construction completion. As a key leadership role, you will work collaboratively with real estate, design, operations, and other key internal and external partners. You thrive in a dynamic environment, and you are highly adept at making things happen no matter how complex the situation! This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. The Store Development Team collaborates with key stakeholders and strategic partners in the global development of new retail stores by identifying future locations, assessing the viability, developing business cases/executive summaries for proposed locations, and working with regional teams to develop a three-year market plan. This position will work collaboratively with other members of the Store Development team, cross functionally with operations, as well as directly with the Vice President of Store Development to build stores on time and on budget.   • Managing 10-15 projects annually from site identification through the design and construction process while delivering to key milestones
  • Providing project estimates while managing scope, schedule, and financials to mitigate overall negative impact to the company
  • Traveling to job sites as necessary (up to 30% of time), to meet with City inspectors, landlords, general contractors, and external consultants to ensure a successful store openingMaintaining strong relationships with cross-functional partners to consistently develop and evolve or processes and relationships
  • Managing communications with Senior Leadership including program level status reporting.

Are you our next Construction Project Manager?
  • You have a Bachelors degree or postsecondary education in architecture, construction management, engineering or a related field
  • You have 5+ years of project management experience within a retail construction environment, that includes experience with store development processes, vendor management and client relations
  • You have demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of projects from identification through to project close-out
  • You have experience managing construction budgets, leading value engineering conversations and negotiating change orders
  • You are versatile with exceptional time management skills and able to manage multiple. projects in various stages at any one time in the life cycle of a project
  • You are able and willing to travel to required markets and store sites up to 40% of the time
  • You are proficient in MS Office, Excel, Project, Sharepoint, Smartsheet, Procore, Blue Beam, or an equivalent industry standard software
  • You are able and willing to travel as needed

Compensation The salary range for this role is: CAD$94,000 - CAD$123,000 Total Rewards Most new team members join between the start and midpoint of the range, where you can contribute right away while continuing to grow your craft, your collaborations, and your impact at Arc'teryx. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
