Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Location(s): Knoxville, TN

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to serve as the owner's representative, supporting a technical project management team overseeing projects across the United States. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with expertise in boiler and HVAC systems, construction estimating, and managing large-scale capital projects within the healthcare, life sciences, or manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, technically strong, and experienced in delivering complex, fast-paced construction programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the owner's representative for design and construction projects.
  • Manage multiple construction projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct project meetings and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather project requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee design, procurement, bidding, and construction activities.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to prepare and manage design and construction tenders.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, budgets, and schedules.
  • Perform regular site visits and provide project status updates.
  • Build collaborative relationships with project teams, contractors, consultants, and clients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of construction project management experience.

  • Experience delivering projects within healthcare, life sciences, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of design and construction project delivery.
  • Experience creating logic-based project schedules.

  • Proficiency with:

  • Ability to travel nationally 35-50% of the time.
  • Must be based in Northern California or Tennessee (preferred).

  • AutoCAD experience (basic proficiency).
