As a Construction Manager Staff, your primary goal is to provide technical support for construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. You'll manage construction contractors, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, and cost, while addressing technical issues that arise during execution. Your role requires strong knowledge of construction management practices, technical standards, and the economic factors related to large capital projects.
As a Construction Manager Staff, you create chemistry by...- Overseeing the daily construction execution, commissioning, and start-up support for Large Capital Projects, along with a multidisciplinary understanding of construction for installing engineered process equipment in the Chemical and Petrochemical industry.
- Managing construction productivity and scheduling performance while investigating the causes of any unsatisfactory results. This includes understanding pre-constructability aspects and developing plans for construction logistics, quality management, sequencing, and site considerations.
- Promoting a strong safety culture by implementing the Construction EHS Plan for projects and proactively addressing potential disputes to prevent construction claims.
- Assisting the Project Team in reviewing and authorizing field changes to mitigate additional costs.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that scope, budget, and schedule are effectively planned and managed throughout the construction execution process.
- Understands and utilizes digital tools to create efficiencies in construction.
If you...- Hold a bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or Construction Management.
- Have 10+ years of construction experience in large petrochemical or oil and gas processing facilities.
- Possess a results-oriented mindset while fostering strong working relationships and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Have the capacity to think strategically to minimize risks, address challenges, and maximize value.
- Demonstrates strong skills in leadership, safety standards, contractor management, cost control, schedule development and management, as well as construction practices.
- Are available for extended travel as needed to support capital projects and construction efforts.
