OverviewShimmick is seeking a talented and dynamic
Construction Manager to be based out of
Modesto, CA. This position is responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities on a construction project site, or multiple sites, as delineated in the applicable project execution procedures, site specific safety plan, and project execution plan.
ResponsibilitiesTypical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
- Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
- Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
- Acts as an adviser to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
- May have budget responsibilities.
- Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.
- Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED + 12 years of relevant experience in field construction supervision including 2 years experience in the General Superintendent position or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.
- Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skill.

The salary range for this position is between $180,000 - $205,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
