About The Role

For this expression of interest (EOI), we are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of complex marine and port infrastructure projects. This role will lead field execution activities across marine construction environments including ports, terminals, waterfront infrastructure, pile installation, dredging support, and heavy civil works.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating field operations, leading site teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. What You'll Be Working On
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day marine and port construction activities from pre-construction through project completion.
  • Coordinate marine construction operations including waterfront works, pile installation, concrete works, structural marine infrastructure, dredging support, and heavy civil activities.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, permits, and contract requirements.
  • Champion RAM's safety-first culture by leading toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with marine, regulatory, and client safety standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, marine crews, equipment, barges, and suppliers to support efficient field execution.
  • Monitor project quality through regular inspections, deficiency tracking, and coordination with QA/QC teams.
  • Manage project productivity, schedules, field costs, and resource allocation while contributing to forecasting and reporting.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, engineers, port authorities, and subcontractors throughout project execution.
  • Identify and proactively resolve constructability, scheduling, logistical, and operational challenges in marine environments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, progress tracking, environmental records, and change documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental management plans, permit requirements, and marine protection regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and support field teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience in marine, port, or heavy civil construction, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of marine construction methods, port operations, waterfront infrastructure, and marine equipment.
  • Experience supporting projects involving marine terminals, ports, wharves, docks, pile installation, dredging, or waterfront structures.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, marine crews, equipment, and field logistics in active construction environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced field settings.
  • Familiarity with marine safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards related to waterfront and port construction.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, reporting, and project documentation.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Equivalent marine construction experience will also be considered.


Compensation & Benefits

The estimated annual base salary for this position is $105,000 - $160,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.

Please note that this range reflects base pay only and does not include the competitive bonus program or the comprehensive benefits package offered by RAM Consulting.
