POSITION SUMMARYThe Construction Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities of assigned projects to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule and budgetary constraints.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.)
- Work with Client representative(s) and leadership as point of contact for all project goals, objectives and develop SOW and execution plans
- Work with PES offshore construction crew and onshore personnel to ensure all project requirements are clear through execution
- Review project proposal and/or project execution plan to determine budget constraints, documentation requirements, staffing requirements and/or allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that the project schedule and budget are maintained
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required
- Prepare scheduled status/job cost reports for management, clients or others
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
- Coordinate offshore installation activities, including:
- Topsides Piping Construction/Installation
- Topsides Structural Construction/Installation
- Topsides Maintenance Crews
- Review engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications before execution
- Create lessons learned and project reviews as required
- Demonstrates strong adherence to Company policies and procedures, included but not limited to Safety, and Company values
- Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
OFFSHORE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT(This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.)
- Attend project meetings and progress reviews
- Coordinate with Offshore Leadership on progress, issues, and forecasts
- Monitor productivity and work performance
- Resolve field issues and construction conflicts
- Ensure proper utilization of equipment and manpower
- Oversee operations and be the client contact for project needs
- Manage subcontractors needed for offshore projects
- Evaluate workforce performance and productivity
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback
- Monitor project schedules and report
- Identify potential delays and implement recovery plans
- Work with customers on scope changes to maintain budget targets
- Coordinate material deliveries to offshore facilities
SAFETY LEADERSHIP(This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.)
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, prior to mobilizations
- Review Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Permit to Work systems
- Monitor offshore crew's activities to ensure a safe work environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS - High School diploma or equivalent education
- BS/BA degree in Engineering, Management or related field preferred Can have as a + but not required
- 10+ years offshore construction management experience in the Oil and Fabrication Industry
- PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
- Intermediate level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform basic level mathematical skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Power Point, and Word
- Experience operating standard office equipment
- Experience of work pack development/execution preferred
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
