Construction Manager - Interior Electrical
Location: Project-Based
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel: Site-based in Hubbard, TX OR up to 75% Travel Required

Position Overview
As an Interior Electrical Construction Manager, you will lead field execution and coordination of interior electrical construction activities for large-scale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will oversee electrical subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and field personnel to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical construction, proven leadership abilities, and the capability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and budget. Success comes from effectively bridging engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to deliver fully operational electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead field execution of interior electrical construction activities across mission-critical and data center projects.
  • Manage electrical subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure safe and productive operations.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and work packages to support construction planning and execution.
  • Coordinate installation activities involving power distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, bus duct, structured pathways, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Support startup, energization, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities to ensure systems achieve operational readiness.
  • Identify and resolve field challenges, design conflicts, schedule impacts, and constructability issues affecting project performance.

What You'll Do
  • Manage day-to-day electrical construction activities supporting hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate field operations between electrical contractors, project management, engineering, commissioning, and customer teams.
  • Monitor safety performance, workforce productivity, installation quality, and schedule progress to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead electrical coordination meetings, schedule reviews, and construction planning sessions.
  • Verify installations comply with project specifications, code requirements, quality standards, and customer expectations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to field teams while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What It Takes
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field and 7+ years of electrical construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing electrical construction activities on data center, mission-critical, industrial, commercial, utility, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power monitoring systems, grounding, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating electrical subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and field personnel across multiple project phases.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, submittals, and construction schedules.
  • Experience supporting electrical startup, energization, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Familiarity with NEC requirements, quality control procedures, electrical testing practices, and safety standards.
  • Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar construction management platforms.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Mission-critical, data center, or large-scale electrical infrastructure experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% and support onsite project assignments as required.
