HGA is seeking three Construction Managers to serve as owner's representatives, managing the entire construction lifecycle for fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations, and related facilities in Shreveport, Louisiana. This role involves managing construction projects from design through turnover, coordinating developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and government agencies, and controlling budgets, schedules, safety, and quality throughout project execution. Travel of up to 60% should be expected.
Key Responsibilities- Manage construction projects from design through turnover for fulfillment, sortation, and delivery station facilities
- Coordinate developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and government agencies
- Control project budgets, schedules, safety, and quality standards
- Negotiate construction and procurement contracts
- Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Drive facility readiness and manage operational handoff
- Evaluate general contractor and vendor performance
- Conduct site safety auditing and support incident prevention programs
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 5+ years of construction management and project management experience
- Contract negotiation experience
- AutoCAD/BIM experience
- Experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project)
- Ability to travel up to 60%
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications- Background with general contractors, commercial developers, industrial construction firms, design-build organizations, engineering & construction consulting firms, or owner's representative organizations
- Project experience involving warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, large commercial buildings, or industrial facilities
- Strong OSHA knowledge and contractor safety oversight experience
