Job Description: As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of complex construction projects from inception through completion. You will ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements while maintaining compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing airport and data center construction projects and will be responsible for tracking project budgets and schedules, preparing client reports, coordinating project stakeholders, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with the Construction Documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes project schedules to proactively address potential problems project work. Reviews daily work schedule with direct reports and updates monthly schedule from project feedback.
  • Manages risks and establishes project recovery plans when required. Resolves disputes with minimal need for escalation.
  • Analyzes plans, construction contract specifications, terms, and conditions and relevant building codes to determine project requirements.
  • Oversees project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniques.
  • Typically reviews plans and drawings, prepares estimates according to budgets, holds meetings and sets and oversees construction schedules.
  • Works with and assists safety personnel to ensure that such requirements are being legally met.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all required project close-out documents per contract.
  • Ensures all required construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, architects, and owners are scheduled.
  • During the construction phase, proactively manages projects to achieve quality, schedule, budget, and safety. Utilizes and maintains tools: schedule and document management to track and record project performance.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
  • Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant construction management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience managing Airport and Data Center construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree a plus.
  • Proven ability to follow through with completion.
