Responsibilities

Full Job Description
What You'll Do

Client and Partner Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and contractors, leveraging those connections to support project growth.
  • Think and act like an owner, making strategic decisions that positively impact project outcomes and earnings.

Project Planning and Oversight
  • Advise during pre-construction phases on planning, logistics, and strategy.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
  • Attend meetings with clients, partners, and contractors to address challenges and provide solutions.

Construction Management
  • Oversee the Owner's scope of work, equipment schedules, and coordination with EPC contractors.
  • Review EPC design deliverables, integration documents, and site plans to ensure clear definitions and minimize gaps.
  • Manage all contractors and subcontractors, including QA, environmental monitoring, compliance, and onsite coordination.
  • Lead contract management, change order processes, and resolution of disputes with a collaborative approach.

Risk, Safety, and Compliance
  • Maintain the project risk registry and identify opportunities, including value engineering.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, conduct ad-hoc safety audits, and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor submittals, RFIs, and onsite issues, escalating to the Owner only when necessary.

Reporting and Communication
  • Lead project status calls, create reports, and communicate progress to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with EPC partners to ensure timely delivery and compliance with energy tax abatements or other regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead project team calls, create agendas, track tasks, and ensure timely completion.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities for onsite teams and project staff.
  • Identify staffing needs and coordinate with leadership to ensure project success.
Who You Are
  • 8+ years of experience managing the construction of major energy projects (solar, PV, BESS, wind preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Skilled in project and construction management, contract administration, and team leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • OSHA 30 safety certified and committed to maintaining safe job sites.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong communicator who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a "Do what needs to be done" mindset, taking ownership beyond assigned tasks and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects, teams, and customers supported and running smoothly.
Nice to Have
  • PMI or CMAA certification.
  • Experience with utility-scale energy projects, EPCM contracts, or renewable energy development.
