Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 0 - 5 years of recent experience in heavy construction, especially with tunnels or pipelines.
• Experience on at least one heavy civil or tunnel project, ideally with trenchless tunneling.
• Familiarity with construction-related processes and industry practices.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 40 lbs., climbing, and working in tight spaces.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Visio, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside effective organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspectors and the Resident Engineer in observing and documenting construction activity.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, tracking labor, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards during construction.
• Review contractor documentation like submittals and field reports.
• Monitor material deliveries and verify both quality and quantities.
• Maintain project documentation through internal and client systems.
• Promote a safe work environment in line with safety policies and procedures.
• Use Agency/client Project Information Management System (PIMS) for report preparation.
