Estimator (In-Office)
Location: Star, NC (in-office daily)
Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 + full benefits
Overview
A growing commercial contractor is looking for an Estimator to join their team in Star, NC. This role is heavily involved in design-build work and requires someone who can take ownership of the estimating process from initial concept through final bid.
You will work directly with leadership and play a key role in shaping project direction through accurate cost analysis and value engineering.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings/specifications
- Develop conceptual budgets and refine estimates as projects progress
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
- Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and scope development
- Assist in preparing complete bid packages and proposals
Requirements
- 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
- Experience with both conceptual and hard bid estimating
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Proficiency with Excel and estimating software
- Ability to work full-time in-office in Star, NC
