Construction Estimator/Project Manager

Skillforce has teamed up with one of the leading commercial fence companies to find a Construction Estimator/Project Manager to work on commercial fence projects out of their Chantilly, VA office. This is a full-time position with this company.

Construction Estimator/Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Review project scope of work to ensure full understanding of client requirements, timelines, and deliverables prior to preparing estimates and proposals
  • Analyze building plans, drawings, and specifications to identify material requirements, labor needs, and potential project challenges or cost impacts
  • Compile detailed cost estimates and develop comprehensive proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate and competitive bids
  • Communicate with clients throughout the bidding process, responding to questions, clarifying project details, and maintaining strong professional relationships to support successful bid outcomes
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage all aspects of project tracking, including maintaining client records, tracking bid status, organizing project documentation, and monitoring communication history

Construction Estimator/Project Manager Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in estimating, project coordination, construction administration, or a related role
  • Strong ability to read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Proven experience preparing detailed cost estimates and project proposals with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM/project management software for tracking projects, client communications, and bid activity
  • Construction industry experience preferred; experience in commercial construction is a plus
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen to include marijuana testing

Construction Estimator/Project Manager Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: Different pay structures based on commission, typical first year about $80k, typical average after 1st year $110-$130k
