Volt is hiring immediately for a
Construction Coordinator in
San Antonio, Texas.
As a
Construction Coordinator, you will:
- Lead and coordinate daily construction activities for contractors and subcontractors.
- Monitor project safety, schedule, budget, and construction progress.
- Prepare daily field reports and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Review and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents.
- Coordinate communication among owners, contractors, and A/E firms.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Facilitate contractor meetings, track action items, and maintain project documentation.
- Support commissioning, startup, punch-list completion, acceptance testing, and project closeout activities.
- Coordinate as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and end-user training.
- Administer construction contracts and implement solutions to mitigate schedule impacts and project risks.
This is a
full-time opportunity.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - 5+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor or architectural/engineering (A/E) firm.
- Experience supporting automotive manufacturing facilities, including Assembly, Powertrain, or Unit Plants.
- Strong organizational, communication, scheduling, and cost-estimating skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors, stakeholders, and project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, field operations, safety compliance, and project controls.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Project, Primavera, Autodesk Build/Building Connected, and AutoCAD.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred; or a Skilled Trades background with supervisory experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager.
Payrate: $49.00 per hour DOE
