Qualifications

• 5+ years of Controller-level experience in construction
• Extensive knowledge of job costing and WIP accounting
• Familiarity with construction-specific ERP systems is preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA is a plus
• Ability to work onsite with clients in the Austin, TX area
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing consulting environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including month-end and year-end close
• Manage job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and project-level financial tracking
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Monitor and analyze project budgets, cost variances, and profitability
• Manage subcontractor billing, lien waivers, and contract compliance
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Partner with project managers and executive leadership for financial visibility
• Support bonding, banking, and audit relationships as needed
