Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking aConstruction Consulting Associatefor ourConstruction ConsultingPractice in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will work as part of a team involved in projects relating to construction project management, program management, construction claims and contract dispute resolution, litigation services and related construction consulting services.
You will be responsible for
- Developing, updating, and analyzingproject schedules
- Planning and analyzingproject costs
- Tracking and managingproject scope changes and project risks
- Reviewingproject documents and performingdocument control
- Preparingproject and program status reports
- Supportingrequests of project leads and clients
You will have the following skills and qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, Architecture or related discipline plus 1 - 5 years of industry experience (internships included)or M.S. plus 0 - 5 years of industry experience (internships included);advanced degree(s), Registration and Certifications are preferred
- Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
- Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external clients
- Proactive and self-driven to navigate complexities and resolve hurdles
- Close attention to detail, thorough in execution of tasks, and timely in task completions
- Strong analytical thinking and data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of common construction related software including Primavera and Microsoft office tools
- Experience in contract dispute resolution and construction claims, litigation services and construction consulting services is a plus, but not necessary
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Associate and Senior Associate level, total compensation includes base salary, bi-weekly bonuses for high-intensity efforts, annual bonus and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
Salary RangeUSD $103,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
