Consortium Program Nurse Practitioner

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is recruiting a faculty member who is a highly motivated and licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas.
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Experience working in a psychiatric setting providing direct patient care and hospital consultation preferred but will interview persons recently graduated.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other healthcare providers.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technology.
