Full Job Description
Leidos' Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Weekend Shift Conformal Coating Lab Manager to join our team at our Electronics Manufacturing Facility. Candidate will be responsible for leadership of the weekend shift technician team that completes conformal coating on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA's). The type of work includes managing team that completes conformal coating on PCBA's including manual processes as well as automated dispense equipment. This position will lead the team of certified technicians. Primary Responsibilities • Day to day management responsibilities of weekend shift PCBA conformal coating operations. • When applicable manage weekend work in PCBA lab including press fit, selective solder and other PCBA processes. • Communicate with project teams and production control to provide updates on both schedule and cost • Will be responsible for providing employee feedback and any disciplinary matters • Reviewing and approving time sheets and verification for accuracy • Enforcing / following company policies as applicable • Engaging with peers to share best practices • Maintaining 5S best practices in lab Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's with 2-6 years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma/GED with 8 years of experience will be considered. • Applicants must have strong experience working with teams. • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple objectives over similar time periods. • Knowledge of PCBA conformal coating processes. • MES (Solumina or Aegis) Build Tracking experience. Candidate will be required to have basic computer skills associated with these assembly tasks (such as retrieving the manufacturing documentation from the system, updating the system as router steps are completed, communication via email, Excel spreadsheets, etc.). • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
