Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.

This position is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a Secret clearance.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document configuration management requirements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration data.

- Develop and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures for a variety of different systems, such as Windows, Linux, RHEL, etc.

- Maintaining the configuration management database and repository.

- Perform regular audits, review, and documentation for system configurations.

- Support cross-functional teams in conducting environment scans and documentation in preparation for upgrades, patches, disaster recovery, and any other happenings as needed.

- Work closely with system admins, network engineers, platform engineers, and other IT staff to ensure documentation and recording of configurations.

- Manage the configuration report of all systems and software/hardware across the enterprise environment.

- Identify opportunities to improve the configuration process/practices.

- Maintain version control of operational configurations for hardware and software.
- Work closely with stakeholders to resolve configuration-related issues and discrepancies.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in configuration management, change management, or related IT service management disciplines.
  • Experience administering and maintaining configuration baselines, system documentation, and change control processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint).
- Hands-on experience utilizing configuration and change management tools to support system lifecycle and operational governance.

- This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience supporting Windows, Linux/Unix, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating environments.

- Experience utilizing configuration and change management tools, such as IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM), IBM Rational, Git, and ServiceNow.
- Experience administering and maintaining SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and document repositories.
