Overview

The Specialist II, Security - Identity and Access Management is responsible for delivering quality customer service. This position must coordinate and communicate best security business practices with other IT resources dedicated to systems access, support, and security. The security specialist will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and enforcing security policies, standards, and guidelines related to all information systems. The specialist will provide secondary support for the IT Department. The position will be assigned more complex and larger tasks and will be expected to interact with other senior business leaders.

The Specialist II, Security - IAM is challenged with ensuring that state-of-the art security techniques are employed to maintain the highest level of security for all platforms and applications maintained by the company while at the same time not compromising system efficiency. The position must ensure a superior level of customer service is offered to all users. In addition, the specialist must resolve any security breach in a professional timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the providing timely resolutions to problems assigned to the Security Department.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the Information Services Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide support to other team members when assigned tasks.
  • Monitor access control logs and security violation logs.
  • Keep abreast of the "state of the art" security techniques and solutions to advise systems designers and users on security techniques that best implement stated policy and standards for the following:
    • Directory Services - Active Directory/LDAP/SAML/SSO
    • MFA
    • Cloud Platforms - AWS/Azure
    • Security Protocols - TLS/SSL
    • Scripting languages - Python/Pearl
  • Assist in conducting investigations into any alleged computer or network security compromises, incidents, or problems under the direction of the Manager, Information Security.
  • Provide support in defining, updating and standardizing system-defined tables and configuration for all application; thoroughly test the systems before user deployment.
  • Develop reports, upon request, utilizing various report-writing tool in all applications.
  • Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
  • Monitor and report on any security violation related to the unwarranted access to corporate data.
  • Ensure that all applications and system related problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing Concentra Medical environment and recommend cost efficient techniques when supporting corporate and field systems.
  • Support the mission of and direction of Concentra Information Services both within the department and throughout the corporation.
  • Build team spirit by assisting and coaching other staff members.
  • Assist in the completion of any activities, tasks, and projects as defined.
  • Ensure all changes comply with the Change Management policies and procedures.
  • Take lead role in the User Access Request process for projects including application rollouts, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business expansions.


Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree ; Major: Business Systems, Computer Science (Degree must be from an accredited college or university.)
  • Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable
  • Customarily has at least three years the following experience:
    • Large scale multi-site IS operations experience.
    • PC Hardware and peripheral experience.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications.
    • Knowledge of browser-based technology.
    • Understanding of operating systems such as Windows and OS X/iOS.
    • Experience with security administration and network monitoring tools.
    • Understanding of Essential Security Business Practices.
    • Experience with managing personal and enterprise firewalls a plus.
