Full Job Description
We're looking for a Computer Vision/Visual AI Engineering Lead for an onsite role in Summerville, SC.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • 7 years of engineering experience with demonstrated leadership of technical teams
  • Strong background in computer vision, with hands-on experience in defect detection, anomaly detection, or industrial inspection use cases
  • Proven experience building and deploying deep learning models (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with high-resolution imaging and small-defect detection (sub-millimeter to millimeter scale)
  • Ability to lead distributed and offshore engineering resources, with sensitivity to cross-cultural collaboration
  • Comfort operating across the stack from modeling to platform integration

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and direction for the paint defect detection solution, including model architecture, training strategy, and deployment approach
  • Direct and mentor the AI Engineer, providing technical guidance, code review, and modeling oversight
  • Participate in the engineering and development of the technical solution
  • Modify and extend the existing internal computer vision platform to support paint defect detection and additional capabilities as needed
  • Partner with onsite hands-on resources for technical implementation as needed
  • Ensure all development aligns with development's global platform standards
  • Translate business and quality requirements into technical specifications and modeling approaches
  • Contribute to executive-level technical communications alongside the technical project manager
  • Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000.
