Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect - VTC/UCC/Microsoft 365

Marathon TS is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to provide technical leadership and hands-on support for enterprise video conferencing and conference room technologies within the Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (HHS-OIG) environment. This role is primarily responsible for the design, support, and sustainment of Cisco video teleconferencing systems and Crestron-controlled conference rooms across HHS-OIG facilities.

The Senior Engineer/Architect will support integrated collaboration environments, including interoperability between Cisco conferencing platforms and Microsoft Teams, and will provide secondary support for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft 365 collaboration services. The role includes responsibility for modernization, lifecycle management, and operational support of unified communications and AV systems, working closely with the Service Desk, Tier III Engineering teams, and federal stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant collaboration capabilities under the HHS-OIG IT Service Program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and maintain Cisco video conferencing systems and Crestron-controlled conference rooms, including executive and enterprise meeting spaces.
• Configure, program, and troubleshoot Crestron control systems, including touch panels for AV and conferencing integrations.
• Administer Cisco VTC infrastructure (codecs, endpoints, and call control) to ensure secure and reliable conferencing across multiple sites.
• Support interoperability between Cisco conferencing systems and Microsoft Teams, including room configuration and endpoint registration.
• Provide secondary support for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Surface Hub devices as part of integrated room environments.
• Work with federal stakeholders to ensure collaboration systems meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with Service Desk and Tier III teams on incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with conference room upgrades, technology refreshes, testing, and production deployments.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards.
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise AV, video conferencing, or unified communications environments.
• Hands-on experience with Crestron systems, programming and touch panel configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco video conferencing platforms and endpoint troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Cisco-Microsoft Teams interoperability in hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with Teams Rooms, Surface Hub, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 in enterprise settings.
• Experience working in federal or regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (High Risk) clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
