Strategic Technical Leader: Architect the Workforce of the Future!
We are looking for a versatile and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and maintaining our core systems. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful features and drive technical excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate is a multi-language programmer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable jumping into different parts of the tech stack as needed.
In this senior professional role, you will be the technical cornerstone of our organizational development efforts. You won't just be solving computer science challenges-you will be applying your expertise to how we recruit, train, and empower the next generation of software engineers. Your mission is to ensure that 76 SWEG remains a powerhouse of technical talent, equipped with the skills and resources necessary to dominate the digital battlefield.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Develop: Architect, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient code across multiple services and platforms.
- Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with product and design teams to define feature specifications and deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Code Review & Mentorship: Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge. Mentor junior developers and help elevate the team's technical standards.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in a development environment before they are deployed to production systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for system improvement, technical debt reduction, and process optimization. Evaluate and advocate for new tools and technologies.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: At least 3+ years of professional industry experience in software engineering.
- Technical Versatility: Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go.). You should be comfortable learning new languages and frameworks quickly.
- System Design: Solid understanding of software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Development Tools: Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development workflows.
- Communication: Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain the appropriate Top Secret Security clearance
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Cyberspace Qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03
- Designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)
- Drug testing designated position and subject to random testing for drug use

1. Knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and materials of professional computer science, and knowledge of other technical disciplines to effectively apply computer software, software systems and computer hardware architectural theories, principles, and concepts to areas of responsibility.
2. Knowledge of the principles of planning, program management, and standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization.
5. Ability to research, evaluate, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
