Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking a full-time Acquisition Program Management Specialist to work in the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate, Sentinel Systems Division, at Hill Air Force Base near Layton, Utah.
This an NH-1101-03 position (988524). The basic salary range for this position is $76,463 - $100,018 based on Value of Position (75), which does not include Hill AFB (17.06%) locality pay.

Serving within the Acquisition Integration Branch, the incumbent acts as the principal advisor to the Sentinel Chief of Software for critical program management functions. In this role, the incumbent delivers centralized oversight of cost, schedule, performance, risk, and incentive management, ensuring disciplined program execution and facilitating data-driven decisions regarding the Prime contractor's progress. Additionally, they synchronize user requirements and software execution to accurately capture and efficiently execute software-related efforts of the command, launch, and flight systems for the program.
DUTIES:
• Develops, coordinates, and staffs critical milestone artifacts ensuring alignment with the SPM's strategic goals and statutory acquisition requirements.
• Monitors prime contractor execution of TMRR deliverables against the Statement of Work (SOW) and Technical Baseline.
• Incorporates and manages software best practices.
• Manages, reviews, and analyzes the program's schedule to identify critical path drivers, schedule slack, and potential milestone slips.
• Utilizes EVM metrics (CPI, SPI, TCPI) to evaluate contractor schedule/cost performance and implement corrective action plans.
• Develops joint contractor and program office management processes, establishing standardized methodologies for performance tracking and program execution.
• Integrates complex acquisition strategies, program schedules, and critical deliverables across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and mission areas.
• Provides data aggregation for the product IPTs, synthesizing complex performance data across multiple mission areas into actionable intelligence for executive leadership.
• Facilitates data-driven decision-making for software-heavy functions for senior executive leadership, and external stakeholders on program health, Prime contractor progress, and critical execution metrics.
SKILLS:
• Mastery of Acquisition Management: Deep understanding of DoD Instruction 5000.02/5000.85 (Major Capability Acquisition pathway) statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Software Management: Understands the unique nature of software in the development and deployment of military weapon systems as compared to hardware acquisition, driving acquisition management and strategy to efficiently capture the nuance and unique advantages pertaining to software.
• Leadership and Integration: Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, integrate complex schedules, and synchronize data across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Executive Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills to articulate programmatic risks, effectively communicate across the Acquisition Enterprise.
• U.S. CITIZENSHIP
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• Must be able to meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements for Program Management at the Practitioner level within 4 years of acceptance.
• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employees must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employees will be required to file an Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
