Job SummaryOWT Global is seeking a Computer Network Architect (Journeyman) to provide network engineering expertise in support of Integrated Systems Networks (ISN) and enterprise network environments. The Computer Network Architect will support the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of network architectures while ensuring the availability, security, and high performance connectivity required to support mission operations. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with enterprise networking, routing and switching, cloud networking, network security, troubleshooting, and distributed network environments.
Duties and Responsibilities- Configure, troubleshoot, and support enterprise routing and switching environments.
- Apply a solid understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, hot and cold sites, cloud, and on premise network infrastructure characteristics, drawbacks, and benefits.
- Perform deep troubleshooting and identify root causes of complex network issues.
- Diagnose issues involving VLANs, MAC addresses, routing protocols, and network connectivity.
- Understand and troubleshoot application issues that may or may not be caused by network failures.
- Support Layer 2 Ethernet environments, including VXLAN, OTV, spanning tree, switching, and aggregation fundamentals.
- Apply Layer 3 routing knowledge, including BGP, EIGRP, RIP, and OSPF.
- Support network environments utilizing IKE, IKEv2, IPSEC, and MACSEC.
- Troubleshoot and support network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and cloud connectivity.
- Understand and apply CSFC concepts and the differences between connectivity packages.
- Perform basic Python scripting and automate routine network tasks when appropriate.
- Monitor network performance and availability and troubleshoot issues as required.

- Experience with security technologies, including Zero Trust architecture, network segmentation, and encryption standards.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools for network performance and availability.
Experience- 4 to 8 years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud networking.
- Experience designing and operating enterprise network architectures across hybrid environments.
- Hands on experience with cloud networking.
- Experience supporting geographically distributed organizations with multiple sites and remote users.
- Experience working in regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting SCIF or secure facility network environments.
- Familiarity with CSFC and Type One encryption methods.
- Attained industry recognized certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or comparable certifications. Equivalent experience may be considered.
